Established in 1994, Milford Sound BBQ Bus is the original small group tour to Milford Sound. We pride ourselves on providing a truly intimate experience for our guests.

Nick Rowcroft, who is previously a Milford Sound BBQ Bus driver/guide for three seasons and Mayumi Rowcroft, an experienced Japanese tour guide, took over the ownership of the business in September 2005 and continue to operate the Milford Sound BBQ Bus as a privately owned family run tour company.

Nick, born and bred in Dunedin and with an affection for his land of birth Otago. Nick has spent six seasons as a tour guide and coach driver travelling between Queenstown and Milford Sound. See his passion about wildlife and natural history of the region unfold during the journey. His BBQing skills are second to none. He is also happy to share his local knowledge of Queenstown eateries and drinking establishments.

Mayumi, originally from Osaka Japan, fell in love with the beauty of Queenstown and Milford Sound after first visiting the deep south of New Zealand in 2001. Coming back to live in Queenstown in 2003, Mayumi took up a position as a Queenstown to Milford Sound tour guide and 500 tours later is loving it more than ever. Mayumi has previously undertaken extensive backpacking around other parts of the world and has many stories to tell.
